Recent Activities of Local Alumni Associations
A Joint Initiative of Alumni Get-together by HKBU School of Business Alumni Association and the School of Business Connects Alumni
A joint initiative by HKBU School of Business and HKBU School of Business Alumni Association (SBAA), an alumni get-together was held on 26 March to reunite alumni and friends of the University. The event attracted over 100 alumni, faculty members and guests to attend and it was graced by the presence of Professor Martin Wong, Provost of HKBU, and Dr Albert Chau, Vice-President (Teaching and Learning).
The event was kick-started by welcome remarks by Professor Cheng Yuk-shing, Interim Dean of the School of Business. He was delighted that the School was able to strengthen the connection with alumni through the event. The Guest of Honour, Professor Martin Wong, also delivered a speech.
An Inauguration Ceremony of the new Executive Committee of SBAA was also held at the event. Alumnus Stephen Yung (Business Administration), the newly elected President, took the opportunity to share with guests the mission and the upcoming events of SBAA.
All guests enjoyed the evening to the fullest and treasured the moments of catching up with each other.

Representatives of the HKBU History Alumni Association Share their Career Experiences with Students
Representatives of the HKBU History Alumni Association (HKBUHAA) came back to HKBU on 24 April, to share valuable insights of development in various career paths with students. The representatives included President alumna Wendy Tang, Vice President alumnus Dr Fan Wing-chung, Treasurer alumna Reed Li and Recreational Officer alumnus Ivan Lin. They were warmly welcomed by Interim Head of the Department Professor Stephanie Chung Po-yin, along with two alumni faculty members, Professor Timothy Wong Man-kong and Dr Law Yuen-han. During the session, the representatives imparted their wealth of experience to students, covering topics such as interview skills, career prospects in both business and non-business sectors, and essential virtue for success in the workplace.
