HKBU Alumni Association of Shanghai Participates in the “EGG Walkathon” Charity Event
On April 26, the HKBU Alumni Association of Shanghai (HKBUSHAA), upholding the liberal arts education mottos of its alma mater, participated in the “EGG Walkathon”, a charitable walking event hosted by the Shanghai United Foundation. Alumni formed a team named the “HKBU Glimmer Team,” taking practical action to support charity and spread care and hope to the community.
On the event day, the “HKBU Glimmer Team” set off at dawn, after ten hours of walking, successfully completed the 50km walking challenge across Pudong. The HKBUSHAA also actively initiated a fundraising campaign, raising over RMB3,000 in donations. All proceeds were contributed to the Shanghai United Foundation and designated for children’s charity projects, supporting healthy growth and providing fair development opportunities for underprivileged children. This event not only strengthened connections among Shanghai-based alumni, but also further demonstrated the philanthropic spirit and social responsibility of HKBU alumni, reflecting the University’s mission of caring for society.

Hong Kong Baptist University Alumni Association of Beijing Organises a Company Visit to the Bank of East Asia (China)
HKBUBJAA organises a company visit to the Bank of East Asia (China)’s Beijing headquarter.
On 12 April, the Hong Kong Baptist University Alumni Association of Beijing (HKBUBJAA) organised a company visit to the Bank of East Asia (China)’s Beijing headquarter. The event attracted enthusiastic participation from a number of alumni, who took the opportunity to connect and learn.
During the visit, participants gained insights into the background of the Bank of East Asia (China) as well as the outlook of the global economy. Representatives from the Bank of East Asia (China) also provided a comprehensive introduction to the Common Reporting Standard, which aims to improve cross-border tax compliance and combat tax evasion. An interactive Q&A session followed, enabling alumni to better understand various scenarios related to tax reporting.

HKBU Alumni Association of Australia Organises 4U Lunch Gathering

On 25 March, HKBU Alumni Association of Australia (HKBUAAA) organised a 4U joint lunch gathering at the Palace Chinese Restaurant in Sydney. The event was honoured by the presence of Ms Jane Liu, Head of Public Relations of the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Sydney (HKETO). The highlight of the occasion was a sharing on financial planning for seniors, delivered by guest speaker Ms Ady Chan. Bringing together alumni from four Hong Kong universities, the gathering was filled with laughter and a strong sense of the vibrant 4U community spirit.
