HKBU Alumni Association of Australia
Annual General Meeting
HKBU Alumni Association of Australia held the Annual General Meeting on 15 September 2017. Attending alumni included Sidney Cheng and his spouse, Clara Cheng, Augustus Ho and his spouse, Peter Chu, Henie Tsang, Mabel Lam, Leung Ting-chun and his spouse Leung Chan Bun-yee, Bosco Lau, Tang Kwok-cho and new members Joseph Lau and his spouse and Li Wen-feng.
At the meeting, President of the Association Sidney Cheng delivered his welcome remarks and the President’s report, followed by the financial report and election for the new term of executive committee members.

Touring in Lane Cove National Park
On 2 October 2017, members of HKBU Alumni Association of Australia, including Sidney Cheng and his spouse, Lawrence Chan, Augustus Ho and his spouse, Peter Chu, Allan Chu and his spouse, Eddie Chu and his spouse Henie Tsang, Joseph Lau and his spouse, joined a walk at Lane Cove National Park.
Organised by Allan Chu, the trip was started off with a walk in the woods before having lunch together.

HKBU Alumni Association of Ontario
Alumni in Ontario Join Hands to Break Guinness World Record
Being one of the members of Hong Kong Joint Universities Alumni (Ontario) (“HKJU”), the HKBU Alumni Association of Ontario joined HKJU to set a new Guinness World Record of most people bouncing table tennis balls on table tennis rackets for 10 seconds at a single venue on 15 October 2017. The 343 participants broke the previous record made by 250 people.
The event was held to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the establishment of Canada and the 20th anniversary of HKSAR. This meaningful act also demonstrated the united spirit of alumni from Hong Kong institutions.

HKBU Alumni Association of Shanghai Organises Party
On 23 September, HKBU Alumni Association of Shanghai held a reunion party in Shanghai, gathering over 20 alumni.
Participating alumni enjoyed an insightful sharing by Mr. Barry Ding, Partner of Rupro Consulting, and had fun playing board games and having a barbecue.
