Baptist Chemists Hold a Birthday Gathering

Around 25 alumni from Baptist Chemists had an enjoyable evening at a birthday dinner gathering on 12 August 2017.

The cohesion of Baptist Chemists was well-demonstrated by the mix of alumni spanning 60 years. Alumna Mok Sin-hing, Advisor of Baptist Chemists, shared at the event that more dinner gatherings should be organised to tighten the bond and sustain Baptist Chemists’ traditional kindred spirits among the group.

The dinner was graced by the presence of Dr. John Chan, former Dean of Science and former Head of the Department of Chemistry. Dr. Chan emphasised that the gathering was a delightful opportunityfor him to meet with Chemistry alumni. He was deeply touched by their accomplishments today as well as their dedication and care giving to their alma mater.

A highlight of dinner was the celebration for five birthday stars of August, namely alumni Daren Choi, Lam Bun-wai, Kwan Kok-fu, Lewis Chan and Chris Yu.
