Celebrating 25 Years of Department of Government and International Studies
 
To celebrate the 25th anniversary of its establishment, the Department of Government and International Studies (GIS) has organised an online talk entitled “Conversation with Prof. Michael DeGolyer”. In addition, the Department would like to call for video contribution from GIS and European Studies alumni. Details of these two events are as follows:
 
Conversation with Prof. Michael DeGolyer- Online Event for Alumni

On retirement from Hong Kong Baptist University in 2015, Prof. Michael DeGolyer launched an organic farm near the US-Canada border in Washington State. In Conversation with Prof. Michael DeGolyer, he will talk about his active life in the United States and observations on post-Trump America.

Date: 27 February 2021 (Saturday)
Time: 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm Hong Kong time
Featuring: Prof. Michael DeGolyer (Former professor with the Department of Government and International Studies HKBU)
Moderator: Alumnus Mr. Chung Sanho (PhD Student, University of Arizona Tucson, USA)

Call for Video Contribution by Alumni

GIS and European Studies Alumni are invited to make a short video of 30 seconds maximum, sharing your thoughts on the 25th anniversary of GIS.

Please name the video file with your full name and submit the video HERE.

Submission deadline: 8 March 2021 (Monday), 5:00pm.
