HKBU Century Club Spring Dinner to Celebrate Year of the Goat

HKBU Century Club held its “Year of the Goat Spring Dinner – A Banquet with Plum Wine and Lunyu” on 19 March 2015 at Regal Kowloon Hotel in Tsim Sha Tsui to share the joy of Chinese New Year with alumni and guests.

The Club was honoured to have the presence of Associate Vice-President Prof. Frank Fu, the Club’s Patrons, members and guests at the event. In his remarks, Prof. Fu thanked the Club for its great effort in fundraising and supporting their alma mater over the years.

President of the Club alumnus Kent Tsui remarked in his speech that the dinner could not have been successful without the participation of guests, the hard work of the organising committee, sponsorship and support from alumni, performing guests and sponsoring company Bon Bon Paradise.

Premiere of TV Programme “The Analects for Us All”

With an aim of introducing the TV programme “The Analects for Us All” to the public, the Club held a premiere of the Programme at HKBU Jao Tsung-I Academy of Sinology on 16 March 2015.

Officiating at the premiere were President and Vice-Chancellor Prof. Albert S. C. Chan, Director of Jao Tsung-I Academy of Sinology Prof. Chen Zhi, President of Century Club alumnus Kent Tsui Kwok-yue, Immediate Past President and Patron alumna Marianna Tsang Wai-chun, Patron and Director alumna Esther Wong May-wai, Honorary President of Art Concept Culture Institute and hostess of the programme alumna Katie Chan-fook-sang, Honorary President of Art Concept Culture Institute Hon Tommy Cheung Yu-yan and Chief Executive Officer of Asia Television (ATV) alumnus Ip Ka-po. After remarks delivered by Prof. Albert S. C. Chan and alumnus Ip Ka-po, a 8-min trailer was showcased to the audience.

The TV Programme, presented by Century Club to celebrate the 60th anniversary of HKBU and the 40th anniversary of the Club in 2016, started on 30 March 2015.

Century Club Representatives Visit HKBU President Emeritus and Honorary President Dr. Daniel Tse

Representatives from Century Club paid a visit to HKBU President Emeritus and Century Club Honorary President Dr. Daniel Tse and Mrs. Kitty Tse in Macau on 8 March 2015. At the lunch with Dr. Tse and Mrs. Tse, the delegation presented souvenirs to Dr. and Mrs. Tse as a token of appreciation for their warm hospitality. The delegation then toured around the new campus of University of Macau.
