Marathon 2026 – Run Together, Shine Together

Are you ready to make your mark? The Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon will be held on Sunday, 18 January 2026, and we’re calling on YOU to join the HKBU Marathon Team!

More than just a race—it’s the kick-off event for HKBU’s 70th Anniversary celebrations. 
 
This is a warm reminder about the opportunity to participate in the Marathon this January 2026. You’re welcome to bring along one family member or friend as a guest runner. Together, let’s come together to celebrate our spirit of perseverance, unity, and holistic wellness while creating unforgettable memories.

Let’s run together and shine together—see you at the starting line! 

Important: Before joining the HKBU Marathon Team, you must first successfully register on the official organiser website, be selected through the public ballot, and complete the payment process. 

Please visit the HKBU Marathon Team webpage to apply and secure your spot in this exciting event. Details on how to join the HKBU Marathon Team will be shared soon. Stay tuned for more updates! Remember to have your registration ID from the official organiser ready before filling out the form. 

Exclusive Benefits for HKBU Marathon Team Members:

1.   Official Registration Fee Sponsorship: 

  • Full sponsorship for students (UGC-funded) and full-time staff
  • Half sponsorship for alumni, part-time staff, students (TPG)
  • Family member or friend will not be sponsored.
  • To be eligible for the 2026 sponsorship, please confirm your participation at the starting line on race day. Please provide the official certificate issued by the organiser, which should clearly display your name, Bib No., and race result for the reimbursement process.

4.   Free training and practice sessions by a marathon trainer
