More than 150 guests attend Dr Daniel Tse’s 90th birthday party.

On 11 November, the HKBU Alumni Association of Macau hosted a birthday dinner for Dr Daniel Tse, President Emeritus, to celebrate his 90th birthday. More than 150 alumni and friends joining from Macau, Hong Kong and the Mainland gathered at MGM Macau to extend their blessings to Dr Tse. Ms Christine Chow, Vice-President (Administration) and Secretary and AAO representatives joined the event on behalf of HKBU, and passed on the greetings from the University to Dr Tse. Towards the end of the joyous occasion, Dr Tse expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the guests and gave out red packets to share his joy and happiness.

HKBU Alumni Association – Civil Engineering Graduates Association held its Annual General Meeting cum Dinner on 11 November at the Cityview Hotel. The event was well attended by over 40 alumni and guests.

The dinner was graced by the presence of the former teachers of the Department of Civil Engineering including Ir Prof Ko Jan-ming, Ir Prof Mok Kwok-woo, Ir Tsui Leung-cho, Ir Lai Kuen-wai and Ir Martin Cheung. The annual dinner was a reunion for alumni to reconnect with former teachers and friends, and recall their good old days at their alma mater. All participants treasured the precious moment and had a wonderful evening together.

HKBU Alumni Association of Australia hosted an Extraordinary General Meeting at Golden Territory Restaurant in Campsie, Sydney on 17 October. The meeting was well attended by alumni including Peggy Chan (Secretarial Management) and her husband Andrew Chan, Simon Lui (Accounting) and his spouse, Sidney Cheng (Communication) and his spouse, Lawrence Chan (Communication) and his spouse, Richard Lam (Communication) and his spouse Mabel Lam, Eddie Chu (Communication) and his spouse Henie Chu (Communication/Secretarial Management), as well as Leung Ting-chun (Civil Engineering) and his spouse Chan Bun-yee (Civil Engineering).

The election of the new Executive Committee and President was among the agenda items that were conducted. The following is a list of the newly elected members:
