HKBUAAO also organised two activities in October. The first activity was a picnic and hiking gathering at Sunnybrook Park on 15 October. This was the first outdoor activity of the Association since Ontario lifted all public health restrictions related to COVID-19. The event was very much welcomed by participants as they had been looking forward to meeting each other in-person for a long time. Over 20 participating alumni strolled from Sunnybrook Park to Edwards Garden to enjoy the stunning fall colours, and then they returned to Sunnybrook Park for an appetising picnic.

Apart from the outdoor activity, the “Cultural Interest Group” of the Association organised a gathering on 29 October under the theme:“The Good Old Days of Hong Kong”. At the event, alumnus Alfred Au-Yeung (Communication) staged a display for the enjoyment of participants his valuable collectibles from the 1950’s to 1990’s, including stationery, clocks, toys, posters and telephones. Tea and popular Hong Kong snacks in the 60’s and 70’s were also served at the event. The gathering was well attended by about 20 alumni.
