Hundreds of Alumni Gather Online with their Respective Faculties/Schools

Following several events held on campus on 15 October, another highlight of Homecoming 2022 is United Digitally 2.0, which is a series of virtual alumni gatherings held for alumni to reconnect with their old friends from different parts of the world and explore the latest happenings of their respective Faculties/Departments. Hundreds of alumni spanning 7 generations, from over 8 Faculties/Schools and 23 Departments/Academies, including Faculties of Arts, Science, Social Sciences, Schools of Business, Chinese Medicine, Communication, Creative Arts and Continuing Education, gathered together during the Zoom events, where Deans, Heads and members of the Faculties/Schools greeted alumni and shared the latest development of the University. Participating alumni also took the opportunity to rekindle friendship with their classmates online.

The final virtual alumni event of United Digitally 2.0 for the School of Business will be held on 23 February 2023. Please stay tuned!

The “United Digitally 2.0 – Faculty of Arts” is hosted by Prof Stuart Christie (first row, second from left), Acting Dean of the Faculty of Arts, on 29 October. The Zoom gathering is graced by the presence of Dr Albert Chau (first row, middle), Vice-President (Teaching and Learning).

The “United Digitally 2.0 – Faculty of Science” is hosted by Prof Chris Wong (first row, middle), Associate Dean (Transdisciplinary Development) of the Faculty of Science, on 29 October. They all have a good time while interacting with one another online.

The “United Digitally 2.0 – Faculty of Social Sciences” is hosted by Prof Wong Man-kong (first row, middle), Associate Dean (Development) of the Faculty of Social Sciences, on 5 November. Participants all treasure the opportunity to interact with one another online.

The “United Digitally 2.0 – School of Creative Arts” is hosted by Prof Johnny Poon (first row, second from right), Associate Vice-President (Interdisciplinary Research) of HKBU and Founding Dean of the School of Creative Arts, on 25 November. The gathering is also graced by the presence of Dr Albert Chau (first row, second from left), Vice-President (Teaching and Learning).

The “United Digitally 2.0 – School of Chinese Medicine” is hosted by Prof Li Min (first row, right), Associate Dean (Teaching and Learning) of the School of Chinese Medicine, on 30 November. The gathering is also graced by the presence of Dr Albert Chau (first row, middle), Vice-President (Teaching and Learning).

The “United Digitally 2.0 – School of Continuing Education - Early Childhood Education Programme” is hosted by Dr Amelia Lee (first row, second from right), Associate Dean (Programme Development) and Head of Early Childhood and Elementary Education, on 2 December. The gathering is also graced by the presence of Dr Albert Chau (first row, middle), Vice-President (Teaching and Learning).
