Alumni Professor Ronald Chiu and Linda Choy Re-appointed Members of Radio Television Hong Kong Board of Advisors

Alumnus Professor Ronald Chiu (Communication), HKBU Distinguished Alumni Award recipient, and alumna Linda Choy (Communication), Corporate Affairs and Branding Director of the MTR Corporation, were each re-appointed by the HKSAR Government as member of the Radio Television Hong Kong Board of Advisors for a term of two years with effect from 1 September 2022. Congratulations to the two alumni!

Alumna Dr Marianna Tsang Sponsors the Ten Thousand Roses and Multicultural Youth Concert Celebrating the National Day

Alumna Dr Marianna Tsang

Alumna Dr Marianna Tsang (Secretarial Management), HKBU Distinguished Alumni Award recipient and Founder & Managing Director of TWC Management Limited, has made a donation to sponsor the Ten Thousand Roses and Multicultural Youth Concert Celebrating the National Day, which was organised by the New Home Association and Yau Tsim Mong Multicultural Activity Centre on 30 September. The New Home Association, a non-governmental and charitable organisation, is dedicated to delivering one-stop professional social services for new arrivals from the Mainland, members of ethnic minority communities, and the disadvantaged in Hong Kong. The Concert was organised with the objectives of promoting an integrated approach to the development of youth in Hong Kong, Macau and the Mainland, fostering inter-cultural integration in society, and strengthening people’s sense of belonging towards the Nation.

Two More Alumni Appointed Political Assistant and Special Assistant of the Sixth-term of the HKSAR Government

In addition to the four graduates of the University’s School of Communication having earlier been appointed Political Assistants of the Sixth-term of the HKSAR Government, namely alumni Au Yeung Man-sin, Denise Hung Hiu-king, Joyce Li Wai and Yeung Tung-tat, two more alumni have been appointed Political Assistant and Special Assistant of the HKSAR Government.  Congratulations to the following alumni!

  • Alumna Jenny Wong Tsz-yuen (Media Management) appointed Special Assistant to the Chief Executive
  • Alumna Winnie Wong Wing-yee (European Studies) appointed Political Assistant to the Secretary for Development
