On 2 November, alumnus Gary Ng (Corporate Governance and Directorship), Chairman of the Corporate Governance and Directorship (HKBU) Society; alumnus Simon Lee (Corporate Governance and Directorship), Vice-Chairman of the Society, alumna Anita Tsang (Corporate Governance and Directorship; Business Administration), Secretary of the Society and alumnus Alex Chung (Corporate Governance and Directorship), Treasurer of the Society, had a gathering with Dr Melanie Lee, Director of Alumni Affairs. During the meeting, alumni shared with Dr Lee the latest development and the future plan of the Society. They all had an enjoyable get-together and looked forward to further collaborations between the Society and the Alumni Affairs Office in the years ahead.

HKBU School of Business Alumni Association Organise Seminar on Crypto Trading and Investment with the School

Jointly organised by HKBU School of Business Alumni Association (SBAA) and the School of Business, a seminar titled “All You Need to Know about Crypto Trading & Investment”, was successfully held on 21 October. Over 60 alumni, students and guests attended the seminar either online or face-to-face. SBAA was honoured to have both Mr Richard Yuen, Co-founder of DWeb3 Capital and alumnus Jay Chu (Business Administration), Senior Trader of Genesis Block to speak at the seminar. Together, they presented an overview on crypto trading and investment and the risks involved; and they also shared with participants some of the real cases involved.

HKBU Rowing Club Alumni Association Celebrates at New Boat Launching Ceremony with HKBU Rowing Club

With the support of the Office of Student Affairs and HKBU Rowing Club Alumni Association (Rowing Club AA), HKBU Rowing Club recently welcomed a new boat “Empacher 4-”. On 16 October, HKBU Rowing Club held a New Boat Launching Ceremony at Shing Mun River, Shatin. The ceremony was graced by the presence of Dr Albert Chau, Vice-President (Teaching and Learning) and Ms Adele Wan, Assistant Director of Student Affairs. Participants of the launching ceremony included alumna Vick Yeung (Sociology), head coach of HKBU Rowing Club cum President of the Rowing Club AA, the Club members and the coach of the Rowing Club. They gathered at the ceremony and shared the joyful occasion. With the launch of this additional boat, HKBU Rowing Club is able to provide more training opportunities for its members, and is in a better position to get itself prepared for the upcoming activities and competitions.
