On 25 July, the Village CARE Campaign was launched to raise funds through the naming of a room in Village CARE. The Campaign aims at providing support and equal learning opportunities for HKBU needy students, including first-generation students, ethnic minority students and students with special educational needs, in a bid to help them widen their horizon and enhance their competitiveness in society. A kick-off ceremony of the Campaign was held on the same day to draw support from alumni and the public, and was attended by over 70 alumni and guests.
The Campaign was also successful in drawing attention in the media attracting over 28 media reports, representing over HK$1,000,000 media value and 2.8 million reach of audience.
