Results Announcement of HKBU Century Club Sponsorship Scheme 2018
 
To contribute to the betterment and sustainable development of the University, HKBU Century Club recently announced the results of the Century Club Sponsorship Scheme 2018 (the Scheme) to provide financial support to academic and student development projects. The Scheme has received good response with applications from various academic departments and offices. By granting the sponsorship, the Club hopes that the projects would be able to achieve a desired outcome in promoting academic excellence and enhancing student development, making contributions to the community and strengthening the goodwill of HKBU. Chaired by alumnus Philip Kan, Vice-President of the Club, the judging panel deliberated on the applications and decided to grant a total of HK$300,000 to support the following twelve University projects in 2018:

1. School of Chinese Medicine – The 4th International Summit on Innovative Drug Discovery in Chinese Medicine: Network Pharmacology and Big Data Analysis
  2.   Department of Marketing, School of Business – Young International Changemakers - "Go Global, Serve Local" Scheme
  3.   General Education Office – General Education Outstanding Students Award Scheme
  4.   Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science – The development of a long-lived iridium(III) chemosensor for the real-time detection of GHB drug
  5.   Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science – Workshop and Mini Research Project on Supramolecular Machineries, Chemistry and Materials
  6.   Office of Student Affairs – Change-Makers Programme 2018-19
  7.   Faculty of Arts – The HKBU Century Club Citywide English Poetry Competition & Reading: A 3-Year Initiative (2018-2021)
  8.   Chaplain’s Office – Pick Up Services for Mainland Undergraduates
  9.   Chaplain’s Office – Exchange Students Caring Project 2018-19
  10.   Chaplain’s Office – Christian Leaders Training Camp 2018/2019
  11.   Chaplain’s Office – Character Development Workshop 2018/2019
  12.   The College of International Education – HKBU College of International Education Global Youth Forum and International Friendship Week
