HKBU School of Business Alumni Association (SBAA) organised a visit to the Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) on 5 September 2015, which was well-attended by about 40 members. Finance Executive Director of the Hong Kong Airport Authority (HKAA) Mr. William Lo Chi-chung extended his warm welcome to the participants and gave a presentation introducing the operation of HKIA and the plan to expand HKIA into a three-runway system to meet future air traffic growth.
Members were also brought to visit the airport facilities including control centre, the newly developed Passenger Concourse and the restricted area. The visit gave participants a golden opportunity to widen their horizons by knowing more about the airport as one of the world’s safest, most efficient and productive airports, as well as letting members know the importance of maintaining the sustainable development of Hong Kong's aviation industry.
