Recent Activities of HKBU Century Club

HKBU Century Club Sponsors the 4th International Summit on Innovative Drug Discovery in Chinese Medicine Sponsored by HKBU Century Club and co-organised by School of Chinese Medicine and State Key Laboratory of Innovative Nature Medicine and TCM Injections, the 4th International Summit on Innovative Drug Discovery in Chinese Medicine was held on 25 and 26 August. With the theme of “Network Pharmacology and Big Data Analysis”, elite scholars from the UK, Germany, mainland China, Macao and Hong Kong were invited to share their insights on a wide range of topics from network pharmacology, metabolomics, phytochemistry, herbgenomics and computational biology to big data analytics. Vice-President of the Club alumna Yoki Chan (Secretarial Management) was invited to attend the opening ceremony as the guest of honour. For the betterment and sustainable growth of the University, HKBU Century Club has established the Century Club Sponsorship Scheme to annually provide financial support to academic or student development projects. HKBU Century Club Presents “Traditional Chinese Medicine Along One Belt One Road” HKBU Century Club presented a TV programme entitled “Traditional Chinese Medicine Along One Belt One Road”, with an aim of promoting Chinese Medicine to the rest of the world. The TV series was produced by the Art Concept Culture Institute with the support of the School of Chinese Medicine of HKBU. The programme was broadcast on TVB Finance Channel every weekday at 8:30 pm starting from 17 September. A premiere event was held on HKBU campus on 5 September. Attending guests included Director-General of Office of The Commissioner of The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of The People’s Republic of China in The HKSAR Region Ms. Yang Xian; Director of Coordination Department of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in HKSAR Mr. Chen Junfeng; Associate Vice-President (Engagement) and Advisor of Century Club Mr. C.K. Yeung; Dean of Chinese Medicine of HKBU Prof. Lyu Aiping; President of Century Club alumnus Kent Tsui (Communication); Patron and Past President/Ex-officio Director of Century Club alumna Marianna Tsang (Secretarial Management) and Member of Century Club and Honorary President of the Art Concept Culture Institute alumna Katie Chan (Communication). Member of Century Club alumnus Ip Ka-po (Communication) was the Master of Ceremonies.    Mr. C.K.
