HKBU Alumni Association Mentoring Programme 2014-15

Career Development Seminar: Effective Public Speaking and Interview Technique

The second career development seminar of the HKBU Alumni Association (HKBUAA) Mentoring Programme 2014-2015 was held on 20 September 2014 at Ho Sin Hang Campus, HKBU.

The workshop themed Effective Public Speaking and Interview Technique was well-attended by around 50 alumni mentors, mentees, students and alumni. Alumna Chan Suk-mei, May, BBS, JP, Director (New and Public Affairs) of the Hong Kong Commercial Broadcasting Co. Ltd. (Commercial Radio) shared her valuable experience on effective public speaking and demonstrated the keys to become a good public speaker with lots of real life examples.

Wine Dinners by Joint University Alumni Associations Wine Club

A Spanish wine dinner was organised by the Joint University Alumni Associations Wine Club on 13 September 2014 at Cuisine Cuisine in Tsim Sha Tsui. Over 20 guests enjoyed the dinner with the guest of honour, Mr. Juan Manuel López-Nadal, Consulate General of Spain in Hong Kong. During the dinner, Mr. Javier Lopez Arroyo, Export Manager of Bodegas Manuel Manzaneque gave an introduction of the wines tasted.

To celebrate the 1st Anniversary of the Joint University Alumni Associations Wine Club, a gala dinner will be organised on 17 October 2014 at Lippo Chiuchow Restaurant at Admiralty. For details and registration, please click here.
