Annual General Meeting of HKBU Alumni Association of Australia
HKBU Alumni Association of Australia held an Annual General Meeting in China town, Sydney on 15 August 2013. The Association’s President Mr. Sidney Cheng, and members Mr. Chan Wing-yu, Mr. Wong Shu-fan, Mr. Cheng Yuen-tung, Mr. Ho Kwok-lung, Mr. Chu Hon-tin, Mr. Chu Kwok-on, Ms. Tsang Yuet-ying, Mr. Keith Chow and Mr. LauYeuk-shan attended the meeting and warmly welcome alumnus Leung Tsz-ling, who joined the Association’s activity for the first time.
The programmes of the AGM including Chairman’s Report, Treasurer’s Report, Re-election of Executive Committee, Amendments of Memorandum and Articles of the Association were smoothly conducted. The newly elected Executive Committee is listed below:

President Cheng also shared with members the details of “Good Old Days at HKBU” Homecoming Day to be held on 26-28 October 2013 and the University’s invitation for overseas alumni to fly back home to join the big reunion. |

PERMAA & PERMS Basketball Competition cum Fun Day
Jointly organised by HKBU Physical Education and Recreation Management Alumni Association (PERMAA) and HKBU Physical Education and Recreation Management Society (PERMS),the Basketball Competition cum Fun Day was successfully held on 11 August 2013 at Wai Hang Sports Centre.The competition was participated by 6 teams formed by alumni and the 21stgraduating students who demonstrated a spirit of unity and sportsmanship. The champion this year went to1st-3rd Graduating Class Associated Team and the first runner-up went to the 18th Graduating Class Team. |

HKBU Rowers Scoop 1st Runner-up in Hong Kong Universities Rowing Championships 2013
HKBU Rowing Club Alumni Association participated in the annual Jackie Chan Challenge Cup Hong Kong Universities Rowing Championships on 10 and 11 August 2013 at Shing Mun River, Sha Tin. This year, the Association achieved excellent result in the Championships and scooped the first runner-up in the women’s coxed four (alumni category). The team comprised alumni rowers Cheung Man-wai, Wong Miu-kuen, Lee Ka-wing, Leung Ka-yan and the coxswain Hui Sze-ying. The competition has been fierce as there was only a 2-second time lapse between HKBU alumni rowers and the Champion. The HKBU team was 16 seconds ahead of the second runner-up. A strong team spirit and sportsmanship were showcased throughout the competition.
