HKBU Alumni Association Mentoring Workshop –"Power of Media & Communication Skills”
HKBU Alumni Association organised a mentoring workshop themed “Power of Media & Communication Skills” on 28 September 2013 which was well-received by over 30 alumni and students.
Two alumni speakers, Ms. Helen Ching, Principal Mass Communication Officer of Community Relations Department, Independent Commission Against Corruption, and Ms. Belinda Luk, Senior Vice President (Pensions & Group Business) of Sun Life Hong Kong Limited, were invited to share their invaluable experiences on communicating with media. Alumna Ching gave an analysis on communication behaviours and patterns of nowadays society, and shared the tips for better communication with different parties, whilst alumna Luk introduced special communication techniques to participants through role play.

HKBU Alumni Association Co-organises Mental Health Seminar
HKBU Alumni Association (HKBUAA) co-organised a seminar with Tunghai University Alumni Association Hong Kong on mental health titled “Self-Suggestion” on 27 September 2013 which was well-received by over 100 participants from various alumni associations of different universities including HKBU. As the keynote speaker of the seminar, Founder and Director of Hong Kong Inspirational Change Awareness Centre Mr. Joseph Chow, explained to the audience how the theories and practice of “Self-Suggestion” would help people get away from unhealthy mindset and negative emotion. |

A Delightful Chatting Group Lunch Gathering
Organised by the Fellowship Committee of HKBUAA, 20 alumni enjoyed a lunch at the Chatting Group Gathering on 3 Sep 2013 at Metropol Restaurant in Admiralty. New acquaintances including some fresh graduates from Beijing Normal University - Hong Kong Baptist University United International College joined the lunch to share their recent development.
