President Chin Hosts a Luncheon for Alumni on 3 November 2020
 
On 3 November, President Prof. Roland Chin hosted a luncheon at his residence, Shiu Pong Hall, in honour of a group of alumni from different disciplines and generations, including Albert Au, singer, songwriter and producer; Ronnie Cheng, Headmaster of Diocesan Boys’ School; Dr. Chiu Chun-bong, Managing Director of Billabong Enterprises Company Limited; Dr. Eddie Chui, Chief Executive Officer of The Diagnostix Group; Dr. Cartier Lam, Executive Vice President and Chief of Retail and Digital Strategy of Shanghai Commercial Bank; Prof. William Leung, Executive Chairman and Executive Director of Planetree International Development Limited; Dr. Cathy Lui, Chief Executive Officer of OPER Technology Limited; Kitty Lun, Head of Creative Shop, Greater China, of Facebook; Francis Mak, Founder of Mak’s Academy; Philip Tsai, Partner Emeritus of Deloitte China; Prof. Sunny Wong, Adjunct Professor of the School of Business of HKBU; Louis Yan, Magician and Director of Louis Yan Workshop Limited, and William Yeung, Co-owner and Executive Vice-Chairman of HKBN Group. Also attending the luncheon are Associate Vice-President (Engagement) Mr. C.K. Yeung and Director of Alumni Affairs Dr. Melanie Lee.

At the luncheon, President Chin shared with the attending alumni the recent developments of HKBU and luncheon participants exchanged views on various topics relating to the University. As President Chin is going to retire from HKBU, alumni attending the gathering also took the opportunity to send their blessings wishing President Chin a happy retirement.
