Around 30 members from HKBU China Studies Alumni Association (CSAA) participated in a BBQ dinner gathering on 14 October 2014 at Shiu Pong Hall with the presence of President and Vice-Chancellor Prof. Albert S. C. Chan; Associate Vice-President Prof. Frank Fu; Associate Vice-President and Interim Dean of School of Business Prof. Allan Chan; Dean of School of Social Sciences Prof. Adrian Bailey; Programme Director of China Studies Dr. Wong Man-kong; Associate Professor and Concentration coordinator of Economics Dr. Chan Hing-lin; Prof. Mak King-sang, Department of History; Associate Professor of Department of Sociology Dr. Odalia Wong; Associate Professor and former Programme Director Dr. Ruan Dan-ching and Director of Alumni Affairs Dr. Melanie Lee.
Prof. Albert S.C. Chan appreciated the Association’s efforts in supporting the “School of Hope” project which provides education opportunity to the poor children in the rural area of mainland China. He encouraged them to keep the donation momentum by participating in the “Alumni $100 Monthly Donation Campaign” to benefit their alma mater. Alumni had an enjoyable evening with their buddies and took a group photo together before the end of the dinner. |
