HKBU Symphony Orchestra Holds Annual Gala Concert
We had a grateful presence of alumni at the Annual Gala Concert held by the Hong Kong Baptist University Symphony Orchestra on 19 April 2018 at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre Concert Hall. The Concert sponsored by Prior Global Properties Limited and CEFC Hong Kong Financial Investment Company Limited was conducted by Acting Dean of Arts of HKBU Prof. Johnny Poon. It was well attended by over 1,200 guests including alumni, and members of the HKBU community. |

Alumni Join HKBU Sustainability Targets and Campus Environmental Sustainability Index Launching Ceremony
Alumni Affairs Office fully supported the HKBU Sustainability Targets cum Campus Environmental Sustainability Index Launching Ceremony held on 20 April and invited alumni to join the event. At the Ceremony, HKBU announced its commitment to a 20% reduction in waste disposal and carbon emissions, 2% decrease in water consumption by 2020-21 and its development of the Campus Environmental Sustainability Index (CESI), a unique and pioneering assessment tool integrating cultural and facilities elements. The ceremony was a golden opportunity for our alumni and HKBU community to share their experience and views on corporate social responsibility and sustainable development of environment. |

HKBU Hosts Scholarship & Bursary Donors’ Tea Reception 2017/18
The Scholarship & Bursary Donors’ Tea Reception 2017/18 organised by the Office of Student Affairs was held on 2 May. The University presented over 2,100 scholarship and bursary awards to outstanding students from different Faculties and Schools with generous donations from more than 280 organisations, professional bodies, firms and individuals.
HKBU alumni also rendered full support to students of their alma mater, and some of the alumni attended the tea reception on that day. Among them were alumni Alfred Tang (Honorary University Fellow; Accounting); Chow Wai-tong (Media Management); Ben Lam (Communication); Gordan Lee (Education); Alex Leung (Business Management); Thomas Luk (Business Administration); Candy Wong (China Studies – Finance); Edmund Wong (Accountancy; Applied Accounting & Finance); Wong Nga-chung (Honorary University Fellow; Business Management); Bernard Wu (Accounting; Business Administration); Daniel Wu (Business Administration) and Kelvin Wu (Business Management), to name but a few. |
