Chinese Christian Universities Alumni Association 65th Anniversary Dinner

In celebration of its 65th anniversary, the Chinese Christian Universities Alumni Association (CCUAA) held an Anniversary Dinner at HKBU Renfrew Restaurant on 22 April. Directors and Members of HKBU Alumni Association (HKBUAA) and Prof. Ricky Wong, HKBU Associate Vice-President attended the event. At the dinner, Dr. Choi Yuen-wan, founder of the non-profit organisation Breakthrough, the officiating guest shared with alumni and friends from different universities his wisdom of servant leadership in the 21st century. Everyone was inspired by his sharing and had a joyful evening.

Monthly Happy Hour Gathering

The March and April Happy Hour Gatherings of HKBUAA were held on 29 March and 27 April respectively. More than 20 alumni, graduating from different departments and years, joined the gatherings to catch up with their buddies.

The next Happy Hour Gathering will be held on 26 May at 6:00 p.m. in Fu Sing Seafood Restaurant (3/F, Sunshine Plaza, 353 Lockhart Road, Wan Chai), prior to the HKBUAA Annual General Meeting. Members of HKBUAA are welcome to join for free. For enquiry, please email to buaa.happyhour@gmail.com.
Attendees enjoy the drinks and share anecdotes with one another.
 
 
Nomination Committee Meeting for Annual General Meeting

Chaired by alumnus Stephen Yau (Honorary University Fellow; Social Work), past president of HKBUAA, a nomination committee meeting for HKBUAA Annual General Meeting (AGM) was held on 25 April to discuss the nomination for the Board of Directors and members of the Management Committee for the term 2017-18. The nomination will be proposed for approval at the AGM on 26 May.
HKBUAA Past Presidents and current Management Committee members have a delightful dinner after the nomination meeting.
 
 
HKBUAA Golf Team Wins Bronze Medal in Inter-U Alumni Golf Competition

On 3 May, HKBUAA golf team with 17 alumni participated in the 4th Inter-University Alumni Golf Competition at Phoenix Hill Golf Club in Donguan. HKBUAA golf team won the bronze medal for New New Peoria (NNP) net score, as well as the champion and first runner-up in Scramble Texas game.

Indoor Golf Practice

Members of HKBUAA joined an indoor golf practice in Lai Chi Kok on 13 April, of which some of them were the first-time learners. They had a good time and looked forward to the next practice.
