Recent Activities of Century Club

Century Club Supports the “First Forum of Materia Medica Culture cum 15th Meeting of the Materia Medica Study Group”

With the theme of “Transmission of Materia Medica Culture, Building a Healthy China”, the First Forum of Materia Medica Culture cum 15th Meeting of the Materia Medica Study Group was held in Nanning, Guangxi on 18 February. Scholars around the world were invited to share their insights on how to promote research and exchange on materia medica studies.

The School of Chinese Medicine of HKBU was one of the organisers of the event. HKBU President Emeritus and Honorary President of Century Club Dr. Daniel Tse and Dean of Chinese Medicine Prof. Lyu Aiping were the Honorary Chairman and the Chairman of Organising Committee respectively. Century Club was also one of the supporting units of the event. To show great support, alumni Kent Tsui (Communication), President of the Club, Marianna Tsang (Secretarial Management), Patron, Ex-officio Director and Past President, Agnes Wong (Business Management), Patron and Vice-President, Yoki Chan (Secretarial Management), Vice-President, and other members and friends of the Club travelled a long way to Guangxi to attend the event. Apart from that, they also had a great time catching up with Dr. and Mrs. Tse during the trip.

First Executive Committee Meeting of the Board of Directors (2016-18) cum Dinner Gathering

HKBU Century Club held its first Executive Committee meeting of the Board of Directors (2016-18) on 3 March at Lingnan Club in Central. The meeting was followed by a dinner gathering with supporters of various Century Club events. All guests enjoyed themselves at the dinner and they looked forward to the upcoming activities of the Club. The gathering ended with joy and laughter.
