HKBU General Education Office successfully held its General Education (GE) Teaching Award and Outstanding Students Award Presentation Ceremony on 18 February. Officiated by Prof. Roland T. Chin, President and Vice-Chancellor and alumnus Kent Tsui Kwok-yue, President of the HKBU Century Club, the ceremony showcased the five awarded recipients who had demonstrated the attributes of “Whole Person Education” through active participation in extracurricular activities and community services. These characteristics make them wonderful role models for other students. Sponsored by HKBU Century Club, the “GE Outstanding Students Award Scheme” is designed to award the students who have excellent academic results in GE courses and participate actively in GE activities and community services. A maximum of 5 students are awarded every academic year. Each of them is granted a scholarship of HK$5,000 together with a certificate.
