A Cold Evening Turns Warm at Arts Night

A cold evening turned warm when over 40 alumni and teaching staff gathered at Shiu Pong Hall to share fun and rekindle friendship at Arts Night on 20 February 2014. The event co-organised by Alumni Affairs Office and Faculty of Arts aimed at strengthening ties with alumni in a relaxed ambience.

In his welcome remarks, President and Vice-Chancellor Prof. Albert S.C. Chan acknowledged that the versatile trainings received by Arts alumni have laid a solid foundation for their development in different professions including banking and finance, performing arts and broadcasting, to name but a few. Dean of Arts Prof. Douglas Robinson briefed alumni on the latest development of the Faculty.

Riding on the occasion, participants of Arts Night including Programme Host of Digital Broadcasting Corporation Hong Kong Limited alumnus Francis Mak Yun-sau, BBS celebrated birthdays with those who were born in January and February with two towers of cupcakes. Honorary University Fellow alumnus William Leung, BBS, JP led the group to sing birthday song to the birthday boys and girls including Honorary University Fellow alumnus Frederic Mao, BBS. The evening finished with a golden touch of sweetness when participants took their favourite cupcakes as dessert.
