Recent Activities of Overseas HKBU Alumni Associations

HKBU Alumni Association of Ontario assisted The Hong Kong Joint Universities Alumni Association (Ontario) to organise a table tennis tournament on 9 December 2012. The team of HKBU won the tournament’s second runner-up, with individual Team A winning the champion of men’s single, first runner-up of men’s double, second runner-up of mixed double; whilst Team B winning the first runner-up of men’s single and second runner-up of men’s double.

HKBU Alumni Association of Australia Celebrates the 57th Anniversary of HKBU

HKBU Alumni Association of Australia held a dinner gathering on 1 March 2013 in China town, Sydney to celebrate the 57th birthday of HKBU. Attended by Mr. Sidney Cheng, Mr. Chan Wing-yu, Mr. Hwang Shu-fan, Ms. Cheng Yuen-tung, Mr. Chu Hon-tin, Mr. Keith Chow, Ms. Turner Lai, Ms. Alice Lai and other guests, the dinner was filled with joy and fun whereby the alumni joined to sing anthem and birthday song and send their best wishes to the alma mater afar. In his remarks, Sidney briefed alumni the progress of fighting for the use of former Lee Wai Lee site and invited them to join the “One Alumni One Letter Campaign” to render support to the University.
