HKBU Class Representatives Showcase Caring and United Spirit !
50 Class Representatives of 2013 attended the “Class Representative Inauguration cum Welcome Lunch” on 26 February 2013. During the event, Class Representatives vowed to fulfill their mission in the pledging ceremony led by Associate Vice-President Professor Frank Fu. Each Class Representative was also presented a Certificate of Appointment.
In his opening remarks, President and Vice-Chancellor Professor Albert S C Chan acknowledged the important role of Class Representatives in building sustainable relationship between alumni and the University. He also thanked Class Representatives for their time and effort in servicing the University. Director of Alumni Affairs Ms. Melanie Lee further elaborated the details of the scheme to the newly designated Class Representatives.
Class Representative Scheme was an initiative kicked off by the Alumni Affairs Office in 2012 with the aim of building close tie with alumni-to-be. Class Representatives are composed of undergraduate final year students nominated by schools or faculties, chairpersons of academic societies and executive members of Student Union.
