Alumnus Dr. Jacinto Tong Holds a New Book Signing and Sharing Session

Alumnus Dr. Jacinto Tong (Economics) published a new book about Hong Kong property and held a book signing and sharing session in Tsim Sha Tsui on 2 May to share the highlights of his new publication and his insight into the property market. Director of Alumni Affairs Dr. Melanie Lee attended the event and sent congratulations to Dr. Tong.

Alumnus Eric Chan Awarded Best PR Practitioner and Outstanding PR Professional

Alumnus Eric Chan (Communication), Managing Director of PR Communications, was awarded the Best PR Practitioners (Gold Award) at The 2nd ASEAN PR Excellence Award held on 29 April in Malaysia. He was also awarded Outstanding PR Professional at the Institute of Public Relations of Singapore (IPRS)'s PRISM Awards 2019 held on 7 March. Congratulations to alumnus Chan!

AVA and Music Alumni Win Hong Kong Arts Development Awards 2018

Alumni of Academy of Visual Arts and Department of Music scooped awards at the Hong Kong Arts Development Awards 2018 held on 31 May. Alumnus Tom Chung-man (Visual Arts) received Award for Young Artist (Visual Arts) and alumnus Dr. Matthew Lau (Music), who is also a part-time lecturer of the Department of Music, received Award for Young Artist (Music). Congratulations!

Alumnus Kwok Kwan-ting Receives Community Coach Recognition Award

Alumnus Kwok Kwan-ting (Sport and Recreation Leadership), member of HKBU Rowing Club Alumni Association, is awarded the Community Coach Recognition Award at the 2018 Jockey Club Hong Kong Coaching Awards Presentation held at Hong Kong Sports Institute on 27 April. This award is to recognise his special contribution to the community in the past years. Congratulations to alumnus Kwok!

Alumni Steve Hui & Lam Chiu-wing Attended Hong Kong Police Force 175th Anniversary Commemorative Book – New Book Introductory Session

In celebration of the 175th Anniversary of the Hong Kong Police Force, a commemorative book, entitled “Hong Kong Police Force 175th Anniversary – From Strength to Strength Serving with Pride and Care”, has been published. Alumni Steve Hui (Biology) and Lam Chiu-wing (Chinese Language and Literature) were invited as guests of the new book introductory session held on 18 May. The host of the session is Wong Kai-man (Geography), Superintendent of Police, Police Driving and Traffic Training Centre, School of Specialised Learning, Hong Kong Police College, while the speaker is Dr. Chiu Sau-mee (Social Work), Deputy Director, Hong Kong Police College. Both are also HKBU alumni.
