Community Coach Recognition Sets New Milestone to Rowing Club Alumni Association

At the 2016 Jockey Club Hong Kong Coaching Awards Presentation Ceremony that recognises coaches’ dedication to nurturing athletes and contribution to sports development, alumnus Wong Chi-wing (Sport & Recreation Leadership), member of HKBU Rowing Club Alumni Association, was presented with the Community Coach Recognition Award. This recognition not only represents the outstanding performance of alumnus Wong in developing rowing sport, but also marks a significant milestone in coaching development of the Association. This has already been the second consecutive year HKBU alumni honoured with this Award, with alumnus Lo Ting-wai (Sport & Recreation Leadership) receiving it in 2015.

Members of HKBU Alumni Association of Australia Gather for an Outing

On 25 April, members of HKBU Alumni Association of Australia went to Wedding Cake Rock at Royal National Park in Sydney for an outing, including alumni Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Cheng, Lawrence Chan, Clara Cheng, Eddie and Hanie Chu, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Chu, Richard and Mabel Lam, Allan Chu and their friends.

The group enjoyed the picturesque view and appreciated the scenic landscape all along the journey before they finally reached the spectacular Wedding Cake Rock, which is famous for its unique shape and pure white colour caused by iron leaching, like a slice of cake. They all spent a fun day there to experience this natural wonder.

Physical Education and Recreation Management Alumni Association Holds Career Talk

Physical Education and Recreation Management Alumni Association (PERMAA) organised a Career Talk on HKBU Campus on 28 April. Speaking at the Talk were alumni from respective fields including Leisure and Cultural Services Department of HKSAR, Education (Primary school and Secondary school), NGO Camp sites and Discipline Forces. They shared their work experience with HKBU students in preparation for their career development.
