HKBU Century Club Presents “The Chinese Materia Medica for Us All”
HKBU Century Club presents a TV programme “The Chinese Materia Medica for Us All” to promote the culture of Chinese medicine to the public. The 120-episode TV series is jointly produced by the School of Chinese Medicine of HKBU and the Art Concept Culture Institute. The programme, with each episode in 2 minutes, has been broadcast on TVB J5 channel every weekday at 8:30 pm starting from 29 May.
The Club, together with Art Concept Culture Institute, held a premiere event on HKBU campus on 8 May. The event was officiated by Under Secretary for Home Affairs Ms. Florence Hui; President of HKBU and Honorary President of Century Club Prof. Roland Chin; Emeritus President of HKBU and Honorary President of Century Club alumnus Dr. Daniel Tse (Doctor of Humanities, honoris causa; Sociology); Dean of the School of Chinese Medicine of HKBU Prof. Lyu Aiping; Associate Dean of the School Prof. Zhao Zhongzhen; Member of Century Club and Honorary President of the Art Concept Culture Institute alumna Katie Chan (Communication); President of Century Club alumnus Kent Tsui (Communication); Director of the Jao Tsung-I Academy of Sinology of HKBU Prof. Chen Zhi; Chairman of Pecan Foundation Limited alumnus Dr. Justin Chiu (Doctor of Social Sciences, honoris causa; Sociology); and Patron and Past President/Ex-officio Director of Century Club alumna Marianna Tsang (Secretarial Management). |
