HKBU Century Club Stages a Fund-raising Banquet in Celebration of HKBU’s 60th Anniversary and the 40th Anniversary of the Club

2016 marks the 60th anniversary of HKBU and 40th anniversary of Century Club. In celebration of this special occasion, the Club staged a fund-raising banquet at The Hong Kong Jockey Club Happy Valley Clubhouse on 20 May, which was well attended by over 140 alumni and guests. A significant donation was also raised in support of the University’s development.

Featured by “six classical arts” of Confucianism, the banquet was fun-filled with singing, dancing performance and games. As expressed in the speeches by President of the Club alumnus Kent Tsui and Chairman of the Dinner Organising Committee alumna Esther Wong, it was held successfully with the concerted effort and selfless support of the Club’s members. The Club was honored to have the presence of Mr. Li Zhaoxing, Emeritus President Dr. Daniel Tse and President and Vice-Chancellor Prof. Roland Chin at the banquet; and the presence of Under Secretary for Home Affairs of the HKSAR Government Ms. Florence Hui at the cocktail reception.
