Class Representatives Attend Inaugural Distinguished Alumni Award High Table Dinner

The first Distinguished Alumni Award High Table Dinner, which was organised for Class Representatives of HKBU, was successfully held at Mr. and Mrs. Lau Chor Tak Multi-Purpose Hall of Madam Kwok Chung Bo Fun Sports and Cultural Centre on HKBU campus on 3 June 2014. It was well-attended by more than 120 participants including representatives of University’s senior management, Award recipients, Selection Committee Members, Class Representatives and other guests.

Early this year, the Distinguished Alumni Awards were presented to recognise the outstanding achievements and contributions of HKBU alumni and to motivate HKBU students to learn from the experience and success of the awardees. During the Dinner, three Award recipients Mr. William Leung Wing-cheung, Mr. Francis Mak Yun-sau and Ms. Marianna Tsang Wai-chun shared with students their keys to success and their viewpoints on topic “Transition from Students Leaders to Community Leaders” and encouraged students to work hard and get prepared for their future. Although another Award recipient Dr. Tse Chi-wai could not attend the dinner, he had prepared the answers to questions raised by students earlier.

The participating Class Representatives dressed up for the dinner. They also seized the opportunity to learn social and communication skills through interacting with each other. As a tradition of HKBU, the annual High Table Dinner aims at providing a platform for students to learn from the wisdom and experience of the Award recipients and continue the spirit of HKBU alumni.
