Fun-filled Magical Gathering of Y’s Union
About 20 members of the Y’s Union - the Alumni Association of the University YMCA (HKBU) attended a BBQ Dinner Gathering organised by Alumni Affairs Office on 19 April 2013 at Shiu Pong Hall with the presence of President and Vice-Chancellor Prof. Albert S.C. Chan, Associate Vice-President Prof. Frank Fu and Director of Alumni Affairs Ms. Melanie Lee. Participants enjoyed the wonderful food as well as the fantastic magic show performed by the Association’s President, alumnus Jacobs Leung Tsz-wa and the former President, alumnus Townsend Tong Chin-pang. They also chanted slogan to thank the President and Vice-Chancellor Prof. Albert S.C. Chan for his efforts in fighting for the southern part of the ex-Lee Wai Lee Campus for education purpose.

PERMAA Organises a Career Talk
Physical Education and Recreation Management Alumni Association (PERMAA) organised a career talk on 26 April 2013 to better equip graduating students to develop their career and to keep them abreast of the latest development of sports and recreational industry.
Representatives from public, private and educational sectors of sports and recreation industry were invited to share at the talk, which was very well-received by students. Key speakers included Mr. Edmond Yiu Yik-ming of Hong Kong Playground Association; Ms. Soky Wong Sau-kei of Leisure and Cultural Services Department; Mr. Yuen Chi-kin of Delia Memorial School (Hip Wo); Ms. Zoe Wong of S.K.H. Tseung Kwan O Kei Tak Primary School ; Mr. Paul Lai Siu-kei of Nike; and Mr. Hui Wai-hung of Hong Kong Correctional Services. The students could not only gain insights about the industry, but also acquired more information on specific job requirements, which in turn helped them map out their career plan. |

HKBU Alumni Association of Southern California Joins a Charity Walkathon
Led by alumnus Charles Chung, the Board Member of Hong Kong Baptist University Alumni Association of Southern California, members of the Association joined the walkathon organised by Chinese Christian Herald Crusades on 13 April 2013 with the aim of raising funds for local community services.

A Get-together of HKBU Alumni Association of Australia
On 30 April 2013, HKBU Alumni Association of Australia held a members’ gathering in China town, Sydney, which was attended by the Association’s President Mr. Sidney Cheng and his spouse
, Mr. Chan Wing-yu, Mr. and Mrs. Ho Kwok-lung, Mr. Chu Hon-tin, Mrs. Chu Tsang Yuet-ying, Mr. Keith Chow, Ms. Turner Lai and Ms. Alice Lai.
Although being far away geographically, the association is always supportive to their alma mater. In the gathering, President Cheng updated members on the latest development of HKBU and invited members to exchange views. |
