HKBU Century Club Hosts an Appreciation Dinner for Patrons

On 21 May 2013, HKBU Century Club organised a dinner at Shiu Pong Hall with a view to expressing appreciation for Patrons who have made generous donations to the University. During the dinner, the Club extended its warmest welcome to Ms. Delia Chan Wai-sheung, Mr. William Leung Wing-cheung, Dr. Jonathan Choi Kwok-chan and Ms. Marianna Tsang Wai-chun who have become its Patrons recently.

Patron and President of the Club Ms. Marianna Tsang hosted the dinner whereby she updated attending guests on the Club’s latest development. President and Vice-Chancellor Professor Albert S.C. Chan thanked the Club’s ardent support and great contribution made towards the alma mater over the years, and presented appreciation plaques to the four new Patrons together with Associate Vice-President Prof. Frank Fu.

Apart from raising funds, the Club also makes concerted effort to support the University in many other ways. Recently, apart from sponsoring the statement placement in newspapers in support of fighting for the former Lee Wai Lee Site, the Club has also sponsored the sharing session hosted by the “Action Group on Lee Wai Lee Site”. In addition, the Board Members of the Club supported the organisation of the 50th Anniversary Gala Dinner of Hong Kong Baptist University Alumni Association, which demonstrated the spirit of unity among alumni associations of HKBU.
