Alumna Lau Yuen-yee Shines at SOSC Logo Design Competition
The "Logo Design Competition" was open to all students, alumni and staff of the Faculty of Social Sciences, in March and April 2012. Alumna Lau Yuen-yee (China Studies) won the championship with her impressive entry. For details, please click here.

ACCA Annual Conference 2012 led by Alumnus Bernard Wu
ACCA Hong Kong led by Chairman, Alumnus Bernard T L Wu (Accounting), organised a conference entitled "Embracing the Economic Landscape - 2012 and Beyond" on 5 May 2012. Guest speakers including Prof. Stephen Cheung, Dean of the School of Business, HKBU. Alumnus Justin Chiu (Sociology), Executive Director of Cheung Kong (Holdings) Limited, and Alumnus Eric Leung, CEO of Tao Heung Group shared their insights on issues relating to financial services and real estate sectors.

HKBU Judo team triumphs at Joint College Competition
HKBU Judo team triumphed at the 23rd Joint College Judo Competition. The team, comprising of 14 athletes, competed against around 120 contestants from 11 local tertiary institutions and clinched the Team Competition Championship. In the Male Senior Grade, the champion and second runner-up went to Alumni Tsang Tin-lun (Science) and Lai Kin-leung respectively. President of the Judo Club Alumni Association and the team coach, Alumna Abby Chu said, “All the coaches and alumni are proud of the team for their outstanding performance. They demonstrated excellent sportsmanship throughout the tournament. I would like to thank the head coach Mr. Ngai Wai-wo and coach Mr. David Lo for helping the team perfect various techniques as well as offering their encouragement and support. The team will continue to prepare well for competitions and lead the HKBU Judo Club in scaling new heights in the future.”

New Music Work of Alumnus Dr. Mui Kwong-chiu (Communication)
Alumnus Dr. Mui Kwong-chiu is having his new multi-media work “Ode to the Water” performed at the 35th Chinese Orchestral Season hosted by the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra in September 2012.
