HKBUAA of Ontario welcomes President and Vice-Chancellor Prof. Albert S C Chan and participates in Joint U Alumni Association Bowling Tournament

Organised by HKBUAA of Ontario (HKBUAAO), a dinner in honour of President and Vice-Chancellor Prof. Albert S C Chan and Mrs. Chan was held on 15 April 2012 to give them a hearty welcome for their visit to Toronto. After a welcoming speech delivered by Alumnus Billy Wong Muk-kwong, the President of HKBUAAO, President Chan shared with alumni the latest development of HKBU and the activities held for the celebration of HKBU's 55th Anniversary. President Chan also presented to alumni and guests a bookmark printed with his poem as a special and heartfelt souvenir.

The Association further demonstrated their unity in forming a team for the Joint U Alumni Association Bowling Tournament 2012 in early May. This tournament was another significant event, following the Joint U Alumni Association Table Tennis Tournament which was held last year. The game was divided into men’s singles, women’s singles and team play. In the bowling alley, all contestants endeavored to score high amid the shouts of joy of the cheer squad. The alumni and friends were in high glee when they cheered for their admiring players. After rounds of games, the champion went to the Alumni Association of Hong Kong Shue Yan University.

Organised by Chu Hai University Alumni Association of Eastern America, a gala dinner was held after the tournament. Participants enjoyed the dinner programmes which were highlighted by the presentation of Hong Kong Cup to the champion by Mr. Stephen Siu Hin-yeung, Assistant Director (Public Relations) of the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office (Canada).
