Recent Activities of Various HKBU Local Alumni Associations

HKBU Century Club Successfully Organises "Communication-Century Club Cha Cha Cha" to Raise Fund for the University

HKBU Century Club (Century Club) and a group of enthusiastic Communication alumni successfully organised a fund-raising activity "Century Club – Communication Cha Cha Cha" on 13 May 2012 at Pak Lok Club in Tsim Sha Tsui with the presence of Professor Frank Fu Hoo-kin, Associate Vice-President of HKBU. The event was well attended by more than a hundred alumni and guests.

Taking place on Mother's Day, the event aimed at raising fund for the alma mater through charity dancing, auction as well as singing performances by renowned singers and alumni including Weiss Lo Wai-cheong, Alex Tong Ching-chuen, John Woo Kai-wing and Simon Chung Wai-keung. The participants were deeply impressed by their wonderful performances and enjoyed dancing and singing on stage throughout the event. Amid the joyful atmosphere, the participants were also keen on making donation in the charity auction.

HKBU Alumni Association Mentorship Workshop

HKBU Alumni Association (HKBUAA) organised a mentorship workshop on 21 April 2012 (Saturday), which attracted 50 alumni to participate. Alumnus Eric M H Leung (Business Management), Executive Director of Shui On Holdings Limited and alumnus Nick C L Yuen (Economics), Managing Director of Charmtech Industrial Limited shared their experience on how to lead their companies to scale new heights through successful strategies.
