On 20 June, President Prof. Roland Chin hosted a dinner at his residence, Shiu Pong Hall, for alumni and eminent community leaders. Attending guests included Dr. Polly Cheung, Founder of Hong Kong Breast Cancer Foundation and her spouse Mr. Chan Yuk-kwan, Chairman of the Board of Governors of Hong Kong Sinfonietta; Mrs. Eliza Fok,Chairman of Hong Kong Breast Cancer Foundation; Mr. Madoda Ntshinga, Consul-General of the Republic of South Africa in Hong Kong and Macao and Mrs. Zukiswa Ntshinga;alumnus So Wing-kin, Managing Director of Glad Link Properties Limited and Mrs. Nora So; Miss Janet Wong, Ex-Commissioner for Innovation and Technology of HKSAR and her spouse Mr. Raymond Wong, Former Permanent Secretary for Civil Service Bureau of HKSAR.
At the dinner, President Chin shared with the guests the development of HKBU and guests were keen on exchanging views on various topics. Guests were also presented a health soup pack and a herbal tea pack from HKBU-Jockey Club Chinese Medicine Disease Prevention and Health Management Centre as souvenir.
Prior to the dinner, some guests also joined a campus tour visiting the Academy of Visual Arts and School of Chinese Medicine, and obtained a good understanding of the University’s latest developments as well as talent of BU students. |
