Business Alumni Share their Career Insights
 
Dialogue with CEO – Alumnus Bernard Wu

Being the recipient of the Chapter Honoree Award this year, alumnus Bernard Wu Tak-lung was invited to share his insights at HKBU Chapter of Beta Gamma Sigma Society (BGS) 5th Induction Ceremony on 23 April 2015 organised by School of Business.

The programme began with a welcome remarks by Prof. Allan Chan Kit-kwong, Associate Vice-President of HKBU, Interim Dean of School of Business and President of BGS HKBU Chapter. At the dialogue session, alumnus Wu encouraged fellow students to actively participate in the extra-curricular activities apart from classroom learning to broaden one’s horizons and networks. Being the Chief Executive Officer of Qianhai SAR Private Equity Investment (Shenzhen) Limited, alumnus Wu also introduced the current business environment and the latest developments in Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Modern Service Industry Cooperation Zone and relevant job opportunities for Hong Kong professionals.

Alumnus Sunny Wong Talks at the Department of Marketing Annual Dinner

Alumnus Sunny Wong Hak-kun, Executive Director of Tibet 5100 Water Resources Holdings Ltd., was invited to join the Department of Marketing Annual Dinner on 17 April 2015 which was attended by over 70 marketing students, alumni, departmental advisors and mentors. Alumnus Wong shared his previous work experience as Senior Advisor and Chairman of Carlsberg Greater China. He encouraged students and alumni to pursue life-long learning and not to give up easily when facing difficulties. Moreover, he pointed out that developing broad business network and good social skill are key success factors. At the dinner, Head of Marketing Prof. Gerard Prendergast also shared the updates of the Department.
