The Town Planning Board decided at its meeting on 26 March 2014 that the southern portion of the former Lee Wai Lee campus site be retained as a “Government, Institution or Community” zone, which prevents this piece of land that is precious to both the University and the local community from permanently becoming a residential site. This result certainly did not come easy.
On 2 May 2014, the University held a lunch gathering to thank the University community for their dedicated efforts in supporting the University. A number of alumni including Century Club President Marianna Tsang, Vice-President Philip Kan and Patron Wong Nga-chung, HKBU Alumni Association President Tyrone Siu and Vice-President Alex Leung, President of School of Business Alumni Association Bernard Wu, Member of Entrepreneur Committee of the HKBU Foundation Dr. Jacinto Tong and Member of Alumni Committee of the HKBU Foundation Ivan Wong attended the lunch whereby they shared the encouraging moment with other guests. |
