HKBU Representatives Visit Macau to Receive the Gold Watch Donated by President Emeritus Dr. Daniel Tse
In March 2013, the University announced that President Emeritus Dr. Daniel Tse had generously donated an OMEGA’s gold watch to HKBU for fund-raising purpose and the amount raised would be taken to apply for the Government’s Matching Grant and support “Daniel and Kitty Tse Visiting Professorship Scheme” (The Scheme). The Scheme aims at inviting international renowned scholars in residence to teach and exchange, hence enhancing the development in teaching and research as well as strengthening the collaboration with universities around the world.
Prof. Frank Fu Hoo-kin, Associate Vice-President of HKBU, and Ms. Melanie Lee Wai-yi, Director of Alumni Affairs of HKBU, paid a visit to Dr. Tse in Macau on 14 June 2013 and officially received the gold watch. Dr. Tse, who is currently the Chair of the University Council of the University of Macau, tendered warm hospitality to them and led a tour to the breath-taking infrastructure of the new University campus.
