Century Club Co-organises a Stage Performance of The Chinese Star Performing Arts Group

HKBU Century Club co-organised a stage performance of The Chinese Star Performing Arts Group which was held at Drama Theatre of The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts on 16 December. This event was organised by Art Concept Culture Institute and China Friendship Foundation for Peace and Development with Foreign Countries to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Group’s first performance in Hong Kong.

Founded in 2004, the Chinese Star Performing Arts Group has arranged tens of performing tours around the world to support non-governmental diplomacy through promotion of Chinese culture and arts. For the Hong Kong tour this time, the Group invited Ms. Qin Xiaomei, its honorary director and spouse of Former Minister of Foreign Affairs of China Mr. Li Zhaoxing, to lead a wonderful performance with first-class singers, dancers and musicians from China.

Chairman of the event’s organising committee, alumnus Ip Ka-po (Communication) said that one of the missions of the event was to raise fund for HKBU’s student ambassador scheme, which will fund HKBU students to join the Group for exchange, internship and diplomatic tours themed under “one belt, one road”.
