Review of the Hong Kong Baptist University Ordinance
First Round of Consultation Meeting for Alumni

With a view to conducting a review of the Hong Kong Baptist University Ordinance (the Ordinance), which was enacted in 1994, to see if it is fit for purpose, the University Council set up the Task Force on Review of the Hong Kong Baptist University Ordinance (the Task Force) at its meeting on 16 June 2015.

After deliberation, the Task Force has identified certain focus areas in the Ordinance for review, and has agreed on the consultation process to be deployed and the tentative timeline.  In this connection, a consultation paper is published to invite various stakeholder groups of the University to express their views on those parts of the Ordinance under review before the Task Force prepares a report for consideration by the Council. Please click here for the consultation paper. Furthermore, a website has been put up for wider dissemination of information concerning the review exercise.

To gather the view of alumni, you are cordially invited to join the following consultation meeting:

Date: 27 February 2016 (Sat)
Time: 2 pm
Venue: AAB 201
Tsang Chan Sik Yue Auditorium, Level 2
Academic and Administration Building
Baptist University Road Campus

Introduction of the consultation meeting will be in English. Participants are free to use English, Cantonese or Putonghua in the discussions afterwards.

You are also welcome to send your comments and suggestions on the review of the Ordinance by emailing to ordinance@hkbu.edu.hk.
