Entrepreneurship Seminar Series - Mr. Shih Wing-ching Shares his Entrepreneurship Experience
Collaborating with HKBU School of Business Alumni Association and HKBU MBA & MScBM Alumni Association, the School of Business successfully organised the “Entrepreneurship Seminar Series - Mr. Shih Wing-ching Shares his Entrepreneurship Experience”on 26 November 2014. Mr. Shih Wing-ching, founder of Centaline Property Agency Limited and free newspaper am730, shared his aspirations and keys of success.
At the age of 29, Mr. Shih decided to start his own business as he was not happy with the non-proportional salary at his workplace. This was also the reason why Centaline has been sharing one third of its profit with employees on a quarterly basis. He believed that giving employees the freedom to develop themselves would be beneficial to the company. Moreover, he encouraged entrepreneurs-to-be to gain experience and build connections in the industry by working as an employee before starting their own business in order to reduce the risk of failure. |
