HKBU Alumni Association – Annual General Meeting cum Dinner Gathering 2014

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) cum Dinner 2014 of HKBU Alumni Association (HKBUAA) will be held at 7:00 p.m. on 28 March 2014 at The Hong Kong Bankers Club in Central. HKBUAA is honoured to have invited Mr. Cheng Yan-kee, JP, Chairman of the Council and the Court of HKBU, as the Guest of Honour to officiate at the event.

All members are cordially invited to join with their families, alumni and friends. To encourage young graduates’ participation, the first 12 members who graduated in 2011, 2012 or 2013 can join the post-AGM dinner at discount prices on a first-come-first-served basis. Each participant will also receive a souvenir sponsored by The Institute for the Advancement of Chinese Medicine (IACM) Limited, HKBU.

HKBUAA was established in April 1961 and subsequently registered as a legal corporation in 1978. The Association serves as a platform for local and international alumni to stay connected, receive updated campus news and share their views on the direction and development of the University. Hong Kong Science Park Career Fair 2014

Hong Kong Science Park Career Fair 2014, an annual bazaar for talents in high-technology industry organised by Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTPC), will be held on 1 March 2014 at Atrium Link in Hong Kong Science Park. Over 30 companies with more than 350 vacancies from Science Park, Industrial Estates and InnoCentre will exhibit in the venue throughout the day for face-to-face interactions with job seekers. The programme of the Career Fair will include career talk and on-site interviews, as well as career consultation and CV clinic by professional HR agencies.

The Career Fair, which is an extension of talent pool platform of HKSTPC, aims to help technology companies to connect with a rich pool of talent which will fuel the development and growth of innovation and technology in Hong Kong and support HKSTPC’s goal to advance a knowledge-based economy in the city which was named by Forbes one of the world's top 4 tech capitals to watch after Silicon Valley and New York.

HKBU Alumni Association of Department of Mathematics - Spring Dinner

HKBU Alumni Association of Department of Mathematics will organise a spring dinner gathering on 22 February 2014 at HKBU Renfrew Restaurant. Two special guests, Dr. Tong Chong-sze and Dr. Shiu Wai-chee are invited to share with participants at the gathering. All Mathematics alumni are welcome to join.
