Dinner Talk Jointly Organised by HKBU Alumni Association and School of Business Alumni Association – "A High Level Discussion on the Hong Kong Property Market in 2013 in view of Post Cooling Measures"
HKBU Alumni Association and School of Business Alumni Association jointly organised a dinner talk "A High Level Discussion on the Hong Kong Property Market in 2013 in view of Post Cooling Measures"on 8 January 2013 at the Hong Kong Bankers Club. Alumnus Dr. Jacinto Tong, Chief Executive Officer of Gale Well Group Limited, was invited to share his valuable insights on the topic.
38 alumni and friends attended the talk in which Dr. Tong shared his views on Hong Kong’s property market and the Government’s newly introduced measures, such as Buyer's Stamp Duty (BSD) and Special Stamp Duty (SSD).

School of Communication Gets Together with Alumni
The School of Communication hosted a dinner for Communication alumni at House of Canton at Festival Walk on 24 January 2013. Over 20 alumni and staff had a great time sharing with one another at the dinner. Among the attendees were the current Directors of the HKBU Communication Alumni Association who received the Certificates of Appreciation from Acting Dean Prof. Huang Yu.
The Association is now planning for an Annual General Meeting (AGM) in which a new Board of Directors will be elected. Supportive alumni including Amen Ng Man-yee, Forever Sze Wing-yuen, Helen Kwok Sin-man and Sham Yee-lan, to name but a few, have formed a core team to work on the AGM and vowed to do their best to reactivate the Association. The details of the AGM will be announced to all Communication alumni in the near future.
