Father of the Yellow Rubber Duck Discloses the True Reason for Making Toys
Many of us may still remember the charming yellow rubber duck bathing in Victoria Harbour two years ago, but seldom are we aware of the Hong-Kong story behind this household bathing toy. Chairman of Forward Winsome Industries Ltd. Mr. L.T. Lam, a pioneer in the toy manufacturing industry of the post-war era, was the first to have created the little rubber duck.
Mr. Lam was invited to share his "Toys‘ Story" with HKBU students and alumni. At his sharing, Mr. Lam encouraged students to aim high, and also disclosed his secret of success, “you need perseverance, integrity and sincerity, and above all, to work hard.” The seminar was co-organised by the School of Business and School of Business Alumni Association.
