Updates on HKBU Century Club
Annual General Meeting 2015 cum Dinner with President and Vice-Chancellor Prof. Roland Chin

Attended by 50 alumni members and guests, HKBU Century Club concluded its Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2015 and held a dinner with President and Vice-Chancellor Prof. Roland Chin at Regal Court of Regal Kowloon Hotel in Tsui Sha Tsui on 3 December. The Club was honoured to have the presence of President Chin, Associate Vice-President Prof. Frank Fu and Director of Alumni Affairs Dr. Melanie Lee at the dinner.

During the AGM, President of the Club alumnus Kent Tsui Kwok-yue presented his first President’s Report on the Club’s activities and fruitful outcomes. On behalf of the Club, he expressed the deepest gratitude to the Board of Directors, Patrons and the Honorary Auditor RSM Nelson Wheeler for their ardent support to the Club and the alma mater over the years. He also thanked Prof. Fu for rendering advice and the Alumni Affairs Office for providing secretarial service to the Club.

The meeting was followed by a dinner with President Chin, at which video highlights of the inauguration ceremony of President Chin was shown. President Chin also introduced his vision, priorities and the latest development of the University.

In addition, at the occasion, President Chin, Prof. Fu and Patrons also jointly presented the cheques to the winners of the “HKBU Century Club Sponsorship Scheme 2015” (Please click here to view the Scheme’s result). President Chin, together with Kent, also welcomed the three new members to the Club, namely alumnus Ip Ka-po, alumna Belinda Luk Kwai-sim and alumnus William Lu Wai-lam.

Appreciation Dinner 2015 for Patrons

To express appreciation for the Patrons who have donated generously to the University, HKBU Century Club (the Club) organised a dinner at the Dynasty Club in Wanchai on 23 November. The dinner was attended by the Honorary Presidents, Patrons and Directors of the Club and representatives of the University.

The Club was very pleased to have the presence of its Founder, President Emeritus of the University Dr. Daniel Tse Chi-wai, and Mrs. Kitty Tse; and President and Vice-Chancellor of HKBU and Honorary President of the Club Prof. Roland Chin at the dinner.

President of the Club and the host of the dinner alumnus Kent Tsui Kwok-yue expressed deep gratitude to the Patrons for their donation and ardent support and great contribution made towards the Club and the alma mater over the years. The Club also extended its warmest welcome to alumna Esther Wong May-wai and alumna Agnes Wong Lai-chun, the two new Patrons in 2015.
