BBQ Night of HKBU MBA and MScBM Alumni Association
The BBQ night gathering of HKBU MBA and MScBM Alumni Association was successfully held on 3 November 2012 at Siu Lam BBQ site. Participating alumni and their family members had a wonderful night and enjoyed barbecuing and sharing with one other.

HKBU School of Business Alumni Association Organises Visit to Bloomberg L.P. Firm
HKBU School of Business and the School of Business Alumni Association jointly organised a visit to Bloomberg L.P. Firm on 6 November 2012 with an aim of providing alumni and students with an invaluable opportunity to gain an understanding of Bloomberg’s leading products and services.
Over 50 alumni and students joined the visit. The event began with an introduction of Bloomberg by their representative, followed by an office tour. Participants learned more about Bloomberg’s product development and its operation of the news, sales and marketing departments.

HKBU Alumni Association Mentoring Programme–Crisis Management Workshop for Commercial Sector
The second workshop of HKBU Alumni Association (HKBUAA) Mentoring Programme 2012-13 was successfully held on 10 November 2012. Ms. Quince Chong, Chief Corporate Development Officer of CLP Power HK Limited, was invited to share her insights and invaluable experiences on crisis management.
During the workshop, Quince introduced “Five Cs” as a good rule of thumb for managing crisis namely “Concern”, “Clarify” , “Control” , “Confidence” and “Competence”. She stated that crisis has a higher chance to happen in situations where resources are limited and preparations are inadequate. Individuals or organisations could consider applying the “Five Cs” to respond, recover and rebuild a brand after a crisis occurs.
